Jacobson Memorial Hospital Foundation
The Jacobson Memorial Hospital Foundation was founded in 2006 to ensure that Jacobson Memorial Hospital Care Center will be able to provide quality health care for years to come through pledges and donations given to the foundation and used in support of the hospital and affiliated clinics. The foundation's volunteer board of directors manages the contributed funds.
This past year the Jacobson Memorial Hospital Foundation was an important factor in helping Jacobson Memorial Hospital Care Center upgrade the hospital's medical information system from a DOS program to a Windows-based program with funds from a city sales tax grant to the foundation. Upgraded computers and a new server were part of this upgrade as well. The foundation was also instrumental in getting a teleradiology system grant that will allow the hospital to submit x-rays via computer to other hospitals within the teleradiology system. This will allow the x-rays to be read much more quickly and help prevent transferring patients that do not need transfer from this facility.
Donor Wall-Recognition of Support
