Jacobson Memorial Hospital Board Members
Jacobson Memorial Hospital Care Center, along with the Grant County JDA, Elgin Economic Development Corporation, New Leipzig Ambulance Service, Grant County Public School, and Custer Health Public Health of Grant County held a Rural Collaborative Opportunitis for Occupational Learning in Health (R-COOL-Health) SCRUBS Camp May 5, 2010. Eighth graders from Elgin, Flasher, Glen Ullin, and Carson were invited to attend and learn about health care career opportunities. They participated in activities as well as being able to ask questions of the speakers. A mock code was also be presented by the New Leipzig ambulance service along with the JMHCC trauma coordinator. Lunch was served by the Grant County Public Health Nurses. Many North Dakota colleges were also present with information booths for the students to visit and ask questions.
